My Oatmeal Breakfast

Eat to Live: When people ask me why I eat the foods that I eat I say,

  • “I eat to live.”

  • “I eat to boost my energy-level so that I can do the things that I enjoy.”

  • “I eat to increase the healing power of my body, my mind & my spirit.”

My General Approach to Eating:

In general, I’m always trying to eat foods that contain the following properties:

  • Anti-inflammation

  • Antioxidant

  • Anti-cancer

  • Immune system boosting

  • Cholesterol improving

  • Whole Plant-Based

In general, I’m always trying to minimize/avoid/eliminate foods that contain or create:

  • Inflammation

  • Oxidative stress (free-radicals)

  • Carcinogens (cancer risks)

  • Immune system stressors/suppressors

  • Saturated fats/cholesterol/trans fats

  • Pesticides, hormones, antibiotics, preservations & other factory-made ingredients (food additives)

  • Higher risk factors for developing family-related diseases

  • Mental Stress

Eat Everything for a Reason: I’m always learning, tweaking & improving my meals to optimize my thinking, my body & my energy.  The better the fuel; the better I feel.

As an example, I’m sharing my daily breakfast recipe with you. 

Many of the ingredients in my oatmeal breakfast have overlapping & beneficial properties.

Here is a list of my powerhouse oatmeal breakfast ingredients & just a few of the reasons why I choose to eat them (NOTE: I did not list ALL the reasons as there are just too many):

  • Protein: 19 grams (28% of the recommended daily allowance)

  • Carbohydrates: 46 grams (33% of the recommended daily allowance)

  • Fats: 29 grams (44% of the recommended daily allowance) - There are all healthy fats.

  • Fiber: 41% of the recommended daily allowance

  • Iron: 47% of the recommended daily allowance
